Volunteers

“I enjoy my association with the Jonathan Clark House.  The volunteer work is so rewarding; I wish I had more time to devote to it.  I have met and re-connected with wonderful people, as well.  Looking forward to the next opportunity to be actively involved.”   JCH Volunteer  2017

The Friends of the Jonathan Clark House hold events at the house throughout the year.  We rely on our volunteers to help us at these events and with other activities at the Jonathan Clark House.  Please contact Museum Director Nina Look at jchmuseum@gmail.com or 262-618-2051 if you’d like to learn more about being a volunteer.

Volunteers serve as Docents as individuals and families tour the house.

“I love being a tour guide at the Jonathan Clark House Museum. It helps bring the history to life and I enjoy supporting a piece of history in my own community. It is special to think that this is the first house museum in Mequon, and that I am helping develop it in my own way.”  – Aaron Glazer

Want to help, but you think volunteering won’t fit into your busy schedule?

Any amount of time you can spare is appreciated.  Anywhere from a half hour to one, two or more!

Consider:

  • Yard work of all types
  • House cleaning
  • Represent the museum at exhibits and booths
  • Grant research and grant writing
  • Fund development planning
  • Policy and procedure development
  • Marketing Support
  • History research

If you have the time and talent, we could use event coordinators, a volunteer coordinator, gardeners and more.  The volunteer opportunities are limitless.

To volunteer your time, or for more information about this wonderful resource, please contact Director, Nina Look, at jchmuseum@gmail.com, visit www.jonathanclarkhouse.org or call 262-618-2051.
