THANKS TO ALL WHO VISITED OUR BOOTH AT THE WINTER FROLIC ON FEBRUARY 6 AT THE MEQUON NATURE PRESERVE! AND THANKS TO WILD PAINTING FOR SPONSORING OUR EXHIBIT!

The Mequon Nature Preserve broke previous records with over 2,000 participants in this year’s Frolic. The JCH exhibit was a big hit with area families interested in local history. It gave children a chance to have their photo taken in a straw hat, bonnet or their own personal winter hat. Bruce Wild of Wild Painting in Brown Deer was the JCH exhibit sponsor.

140711_JCH Reunion161140711_JCH Reunion139The summer of 2014 was a busy one at the Jonathan Clark House Museum. The highlight has been the reunion of the descendants of Jonathan Clark and Peter Turck. Liz Hickman, the great great granddaughter of Jonathan Clark traveled from Texas with her husband to join her daughters, sisters and other relatives and friends to celebrate her 70th birthday. Relatives, Board members, and other invited guests gathered on the grounds for an old-fashioned picnic complete with games and activities for her grandchildren.
