MT-Today highlighted the campaign in the December 2015 issue:
The Capital Campaign kick-off in May created an energetic start to a significant goal to raise $200,000 to satisfy the Clark property mortgage. Each contribution is significant because it will:
* Enable the Friends to purchase and preserve the Jonathan Clark House for generations to come;
* Help the Friends create the Mequon-Thiensville community’s only historic house museum;
* Provide an accessible educational laboratory for youth;
* Provide a unique window to the past.
Help us “Bring History to Life” by Supporting the Friends of Jonathan Clark House Capital Campaign
The Clark property is coming to life as we celebrate a special Wisconsin history. If you are keeping track the house was built 168 years ago. How do we remember that, because the house was built in 1848, the same year Wisconsin became a state.
The “Bringing History to Life” capital campaign is your opportunity to preserve one of Wisconsin’s remaining historic treasures.
“Lessons learned from the past and our ancestors are invaluable and this sturdy
dwelling stands to provoke research on many levels.
It will surely stimulate the imaginations of future generations.”
(Liz Hickman, great great granddaughter of Jonathan and Mary Clark)
Please consider a 2017 or 2018 pledge so that the property can be purchased and then preserved for all to enjoy for generations to come. Your one, two or three year pledge can be in honor of or in memory of a special person or just your investment in history.
With your help … We can Bring History to Life!
